Three Timeless Summer Dresses You Need
Summer feels like it has literally flown by! We just got back from our Florida vacation (thankfully we avoided Dorian) but I tell you I already miss the warm Florida sunshine. At least the weather is still good here, which means I will be wearing summer dresses as long as I can. It just feels so nice on the evenings and weekends to wear a sundress and sandals when the weather is warm. With all of the Labor Day sales going on, I thought I would show you three of my favorite summer dresses you can still snag this year. And even though you might only wear them for a few weeks, the dresses I am showing you are ones you can definitely wear on repeat next spring too!

J. Crew Factory Button Front Dress
I have often posted about my love of gingham on this blog. Gingham is such a timeless and classic pattern, that really does stand the test of time. Summertime and gingham are practically synonymous, which is why you will see so many gingham pieces available this time of year. I stumbled across this J. Crew Factory gingham dress one day and it I new I wanted it as soon as I saw it! Everything about this dress I love. The combination of gingham and buttons is what makes this dress so timeless. This dress is fitted at the waist, which  makes this dress flattering on anyone!

This dress is perfect for the summertime. I wore it out on a lunch date with my family, but it would be perfect for a spring or summer shower or wedding. I have to admit I paid full price for this dress, but during the Labor day Sale this dress is available for under $40, which I think is a fabulous price for the quality you get. This dress is definitely petite-friendly and I am wearing my typical size 2.

When it comes to accessorizing this dress, I decided to carry this simple straw bucket bag I picked up at Target. A dress like this is made to wear with a straw bag.  I’ve gotten so many complements on this bag too!

J. Crew Factory Printed Wrap Dress
While coral is the Pantone color of the year, yellow is the color that seems to be popping up everywhere. Just a couple of years ago, if someone had suggested I wear a yellow dress, I would have given them an incredulous look. But in true Devil Wears Prada psychology, the more I see yellow popping up in fashion trends this season, the more I want to wear it myself! Yellow may not be the most popular color, but the pastel, mustard yellow shades really do look good on just about every skin tone. And this yellow floral dress from J. Crew Factory will almost certainly put you in a good mood when you wear it! I purchased this dress at the beginning of the season, so it is available in limited sizes. However this dress from Nordstrom rack is very similar. And if you prefer a dress in a midi length, then I also really like this lovely yellow floral crepe dress by Eliza J.

Given this dress has pops of red in it, I decided to wear these fun red espadrilles. These wedges are so comfortable! I got them in red, but they also come in black, navy, and a flax color. The red is sold out, but these are also a really nice option.

Floerns Striped Fit and Flare Dress
One of the biggest question I get from my readers is how to find an affordable summer dress that can be delivered quickly. I always answer Amazon when I get this question. Amazon Fashion has an endless selection of summer dresses (as well as other summer essentials) at a price point for every budget. Amazon Fashion carries a wide range of name brand pieces, and you just have to know how to find what you have in mind. I find that if I stick to just a few brands that Amazon offers, I can usually find what I want, and I know the fit and quality will be nice too. Floerns is a brand on Amazon that is known for lightweight summer dresses that are affordable. My first Florens outfit was this adorable pink romper (seen in this post). I was impressed with what you got for the price. So when I stumbled across this fun and flirty striped Florens dress, buying it was an easy decision!

This 100% cotton/linen dress is perfect for a casual day at the beach or a sunny weekend around town. It is a bit thin, so I recommend wearing a nude bra/underwear underneath it. The spaghetti straps are such a fun detail. And the fit and flare style works on just about any body type. This dress is definitely petite-friendly. And it is under $20! Sizing is true to size, and I am wearing the XS. I am wearing red, but it also comes in blue. If you like the color and the stripe design, but want a longer length, then I recommend this Floerns striped midi dress.

A dress like this looks a little plain on it’s own. To add style to the outfit I decided to wear this western belt with it. Adding the belt really elevates the entire look!
